Activities

While Jeevodaya's main objective is the alleviation of suffering of Advanced Cancer Patients we have realised, the equally important and urgent need to see that less and less patients reach this stage.

Towards this end we have major programs namely

Education :
We conduct education programme on cancer with audio visual aids in school and colleges, highlighting the evil effects of tobacco - the major known cause of cancer.

Creating Awareness :
Awareness program on cancer are also conducted for clubs social organisation , factories ,offices etc.

Screening program for early detection of cancer :

Screening program for early detection of cancer - oral, breast, and cervix from target groups.

Conference:

Jeevodaya takes pride in actively participating in IAPC conference every year by presenting papers and guest lectures

Our medical director has been elected as an executive member of IAPC in Calicut 1998.

we have been licenced by Thiruvallore collector to procure stocks and dispense oral morphine.

We are relentlessly striving by interacting with the local authorities like our Drug controller to make drug companies manufacture oral morphine in Tamil Nadu itself. we expect a break through shortly.

Jeevodaya has permitted various social work schools to send their students to our institute for their field training. We have recently started a quarterly news bulletin, which shall be sent on request.

Jeevodaya has played host to several PC workers (doctors and nurses) from India & abroad, who want to have personal experience in caring for patients with cancer, peculiar to this part of the world.
