What Is A Vertebral Artery Dissection

There are four arteries in the Neck, the two main Carotids and the two Vertebral Arteries that run in the Cervical Spine.

These vertebral arteries are succeptible to kinking, stretching or getting squeezed due to neck rotations, manipulations, accidents such as a  whip lash in a car crash, roller coaster rides, may be even a simple fall on the ice as in one case, a sporting injury or even something simple as drying hair vigorously.

These arteries are vital and reduction or cut-off of blood supply to the brain from these arteries could lead to a Brain Stem Stroke.
